Our goal with this new website is to provide our stakeholders with an easier way to learn about SCPNGSCPNG Securities Commission of Papua New Guinea’s mandate and the services we provide. The website is interactive and dynamic. As it serves as SCPNG’s online presence, it is updated regularly and provides real-time market data of the PNGPNG Papua New Guinea National Stock Exchange. It is by no means a finished product. We are constantly innovating and looking out for newer, better ways of serving the needs of our stakeholders and we are out here giving our best.
Our current and prospective clients will find useful information about our services on the homepage of our website. Since our mandate flows from the Securities Laws of PNG, visitors are free to download copies linked on the site.
Through the site, we hope to engage with the wider world and communicate meaningfully with the community with a view to ensuring that people understand and are educated about the role of the Securities Commission and what we can do to help the capital market in PNG develop.
Amongst the features, the site contains integrated social media buttons for Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin to foster improved communication with the clients. We will be constantly updating our content with helpful information, articles, blogs, newsletters, industry news, announcements, and stakeholder news in the News section.
We hope you find the website, easy to access information and we also wish to establish this portal as a source of information for those who visit our site.
We would also like to thank our amazing staff at SCPNG who donated their time and energy to make this site what it is. Particularly Zomay Apini, John Sarwom, and Robert Salmon-Minak.
Please enjoy!

On the occasion of the launching of the SCPNG website, Acting Executive Chairman of the Securities Commission of PNG, Mr. Robert Salmon-Minak said the move by SCPNG to go live via the website was both necessary and strategic.
“Websites are present-day necessities for statutory entities and corporations. Digital presence on the web platforms allows entities to interact in real-time with stakeholders efficiently. Such enablers allow stakeholders to understand common issues and work to find solutions to challenges and needs they have in a faster way.
Mr. Salmon-Minak said the SCPNG website is by no means a be-all-end-all platform. There are more information and responsive aspects of our mandate that we want to incorporate into the website to achieve efficiency, and responsiveness to ensure we are proactive in our ability to respond to stakeholders’ expectations, legal requirements, and to keep effective watch over investors conduct.
We hope to add value to our stakeholders’ user experience on the site going forward.
For the start, we hope you like the site and wish you find something useful.
Two significant features of the website are a whistleblower’s portal where the public get to report misconduct by participants of the capital market and license holders. The other is a complaints portal where users can submit complaints on anything regarding our mandate, our conduct, or that of investors or capital market participants.
More innovative features shall be added in the coming weeks.
